International media reported, the US diplomats, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of state for South and Central Asia Alice Wells said that  "CPEC projects is not about aid. It is debt burden on Pakistan and only China will be benefited from it." Ms Wells also emphasised that China was providing loans not grants to Pakistan, as United States.
